Open textbook - www.digitalfutures.org The open textbook pulls together resources produced in the context of the project in the form of an interactive website where users will be able to engage with OERs released in the context of the project. The final version of the open textbook will be available on 1 November.
Case studies - www.deft-project.org The team worked collaboratively with teachers and PGCE tutors to produce 13 case studies (10 school-based and 3 PGCE-based) focusing on challenges of practice with digital literacies and issues related to OERs and open practices within the school sector. The case studies are available from the open textbook and have also been deposited into JorumOpen (tagged with "deftoer3").
Digital Bloom installation - http://deftoer3.wordpress.com/category/digital-bloom-2/ The "Digital Bloom" installation celebrating the work of the pupils from schools participating in the DeFT project took place in Sheffield Winter Gardens between 9-13 July as part of Sheffield Children's Festival and attracted over 400 visitors. Digital Bloom online - www.digitalbloom.org Digital Bloom online is an interactive website where school teachers, youth groups and members of general public can submit their stories which explore understandings of digital literacy. Users can also explore stories submitted by others and create their own collections. Please note that at the moment the online space has been designed with Google Chrome in mind.
Digital Bloom It's the Learning Futures project "meadow" - http://www.digitalbloom.org/index.html?meadow=ilfdays This meadow contains stories developed in the context of "It's the Learning Future Project" which arose from collaboration between Sheffield Hallam and The University of Sheffield in 2010 It involved the children from Campsmount High School Doncaster, Winterhill School Rotherham and Beck Primary and Callow Primary schools Sheffield Children were set a number of digital challenges and explored the notion of being a digital leader.
DeFT project wiki - http://bit.ly/DeFT-wiki During the lifetime of the project, the wiki was a closed, password protected working space for the project team to share ideas, offer their responses to the reflexive tasks and share early versions of the resources being developed. The wiki was opened up at the end of October and now functions as a resource reflecting the process of developing the DeFT open textbook and accompanying resources.

Great Writers Inspire Project outputs

http://writersinspire.org/ Great Writers Inspire is an online repository of thousands of literature resources, freely available to the public and the education community worldwide under a Creative Commons licence.

http://writersinspire.wordpress.com/ A WordPress blog featuring posts from academic and student contributors, both observational and contextual. The blog allowed the project team to have an early online presence and offered a quick, easy-to-use interface for content capture.

41 audio recordings 32 video recordings 91 essays In addition, existing OER has been exposed both from Oxford and external sources: 208 lectures from http://podcasts.ox.ac.uk/ 3045 ebooks from Oxford Text Archive, Oxford Google Books Project, ebooks@Adelaide, and a small number of other internet archives. 135 OERs from external sources. All material included on Great Writers Inspire has a licence which makes it suitable for reuse in education worldwide. (Figures as at 15 October 2012.)

A total of 3045 eBooks or electronic texts have been collected. For ease of use, these are displayed within the web browser and are also available for download in a variety of formats (e.g. ePub, mobi, HTML, XML, plain text or PDF depending on the source)
One specialist Theme, Approaches to Literature, includes mini collections which provide an easy access point to the materials for teachers.
To guide users through the site ‘tours’ have been produced in the ‘About’ section, similar to the ‘Approaches’ their aim is to show users a variety of pathways through the materials.

The Moodle course opens out as a set of Moodle books each covering an aspect of a connected series of information and perspectives on working in SMEs.

ORBIT Project

The ORBIT resource bank http://orbit.educ.cam.ac.uk/wiki/Home (in wiki form) contains over 200 resources and a collection of pedagogic articles.

An extensive database of potential contacts and resource sources was created using Google spreadsheets. A second database tracked all resources themselves and recorded their wiki status. A third database was created to track the permissions required in order to clear copyright for some of the materials used to create ORBIT resources
A group of primary and secondary school teachers, colleagues at the Faculty of Education in Cambridge as well as others in UK HEIs were engaged to produce STEM-focused lesson ideas for the ORBIT resource bank.
ORBIT includes a specific links section (http://orbit.educ.cam.ac.uk/wiki/OER_teacher_education_resources) to a selection of free teacher education resources, including those which are not openly licensed resources but reflect a selection of existing familiar websites where many teachers already share.
The ORBIT team has created an open coursebook centred on interactive teaching ideas and organised by pedagogic or teaching approaches. All the materials are drawn directly from the online resource bank itself. In addition, we have encouraged users to produce their own open coursebooks from the ORBIT wiki.
Many excellent teacher resource websites have been archived in such a way that it is almost impossible for others to gain access to them or even discover their contents.
The ORBIT team has located a selection of such materials and either linked to them directly and/or extracted some of their contents, repurposing them as lesson ideas, making use of the Open Government Licence (OGL), for instance.
There was a close synergy between the ORBIT project and the DeFT project, with a number of fruitful discussions. A concrete point of engagement was the creation of a number of resources, linking the respective projects, see http://orbit.educ.cam.ac.uk/wiki/DEFT

SESAME Project

The Sesame project has generated a collection of over 1,500 resources, available at: http://open.conted.ox.ac.uk/. Of these, about 800 are openly licensed content, with over 270 resources created by tutors teaching on our weekly classes and over 500 links to existing OER chosen by our tutors. In addition, the discovery point contains further links to over 750 resources that, whilst not openly licensed, have been identified as being of use to our students and to other tutors and learners. To aid use in different contexts resources can be viewed and searched for by course, subject and keywords.
